College Kingdom Policies

We will only provide information on schools that meet the following criteria:

1. If the school is listed in the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), it must be accredited by an agency recognized by the Department of Education or by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
2. If the school is not listed in IPEDS, it must be accredited by an agency recognized by the Department of Education.
3. The school must be open to the public - schools for government personnel only, those within correctional institutions or those that only provide classes for a business's employees will not be listed.
4. Schools must be open for business and actively seeking students.
5. Since schools can close, change ownership or change accreditation status, we will update the school's information (name, address, phone, etc) when we become aware of this information. We will remove a "closed" school from our database when it is listed as being closed in IPEDS or when we receive verified proof that a school is closed.

We will only list scholarship sponsors (includes fellowship and grant sponsors) that meet the following criteria:

1. The scholarship must not charge an application fee.
2. The sponsor must be the scholarship's primary sponsor.
3. The sponsor may not be a College, University or High School.
4. The sponsor will only be listed once, no matter how many scholarships are provided.
5. The sponsor must have a website and must have their own domain name.
6. The scholarship must be actively seeking applicants or must have recently awarded a scholarship and will be seeking new applicants in the near future.

Members of the College Kingdom Education Discussion Forum may post and reply to messages, create their own blog, save schools to their "My School List" and save scholarship sponsors to their "My Scholarship List". Non-members are permitted to view forum and blog postings only. The forum is a place for questions, ideas and constructive participation; it is not a place to violate any laws or to discuss illegal activities. Members must agree to the following:.

• You may not use this forum to post, upload to, distribute or otherwise publish any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise objectionable. These discussions are open to people from all races, religions and backgrounds. We ask that you please be considerate to other members in the forums when posting your messages.
• You agree not to upload, transmit or post any Content that may infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other intellectual or proprietary right of any party. By posting any Content, you represent and warrant that you have the lawful right to distribute and reproduce such Content. It is acceptable to provide a link to copyrighted material, to post brief excerpts, or to paraphrase other works, though we ask that you cite the original source whenever possible.
• You agree not to post Content that is an attempt to sell a product or service. Any posts deemed by the administrator to be commercial in nature (selling a product or service) will be deleted. It is permissible for you to mention services or products that are provided by you or the company with which you are affiliated, as long as the information is related to the topic being discussed, is not a blatant advertisement, and you mention your affiliation with the company in the content of the message.
• You remain solely liable for the Content of any messages or other information you upload or transmit to College Kingdom, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless College Kingdom and its agents with respect to any claim, action, demand, loss or damage based upon or relating to any transmission of your Content. College Kingdom reserves the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information College Kingdom knows about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any Content posted by you.
• College Kingdom takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any Content posted or uploaded by you or any third party, or for any mistakes, defamation, slander, libel, omissions, falsehoods, obscenity, pornography or profanity you may encounter. Any user who feels that Content is objectionable is encouraged to contact College Kingdom immediately by email. College Kingdom reserves the right, but not the obligation, to remove any Content it deems objectionable. College Kingdom reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to any part of these forums.
