Title IV Financial Aid

Title IV Eligibility indicates whether the school can take part in Federal Student Aid (FSA) programs (Federal Pell Grant Program, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), Federal Work-Study (FWS), Federal Direct Student Loans (including the Federal Direct Subsidized Loans, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans, and the Federal Direct Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) Loans).

An institution's eligibility to participate in FSA programs is dependent upon a number of requiremnts, such as accrdditation by an accrditing agency recognized by the Department of Education, the number of students meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress and submitting Campus Crime Reports. Eligibility does not automatically include separate locations and extensions.

Possible values for Title IV Eligibility on College Kingdom include:

  • Participates in Title IV federal financial aid programs
  • Branch campus of a main campus that participates in Title IV
  • Deferment only - limited participation
  • New participants (became eligible during spring collection)
  • Not currently participating in Title IV, has an OPE ID number
  • Not currently participating in Title IV, does not have OPE ID number
  • Stopped participating during the survey year
  • Unknown
Be sure to check with the school to make sure they are able to offer Federal Student Aid for the program you wish to study and the location where you wish to study. If they cannot provide their Federal School Code (Title IV Eligibility Code) you can not use Federal Grants and Loans to help pay for your education at that school.
