A program that focuses on the history, society, politics, culture, and economics of one or more of the peoples of what is historically known as Central/Middle and Eastern Europe, defined as including Austria, the Balkans, the Baltic States, Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, related borderlands and island groups, and migration patterns.
